Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aquaray Forte is an over-the-counter (OTC) ophthalmic lubricant solution (artificial tears) marketed by Raymed Pharmaceuticals. It is a fixed-dose combination formulation containing dextran 70 (0.1% w/v), glycerin (0.2% w/v), and hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, 0.3% w/v), with oxychloro complex as a preservative. The solution is indicated for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort associated with dry eyes, eye strain, or exposure to environmental factors such as wind, sun, or prolonged screen use. Hypromellose and glycerin act as demulcents and lubricants to retain moisture and soothe the ocular surface, while dextran 70 helps stabilize the tear film.
