Overview

DFP-10825 is a liposomal RNAi therapeutic developed by Delta-Fly Pharma for the treatment of peritoneal disseminated cancers, including gastric, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers. It consists of a short hairpin RNA (shRNA) molecule encapsulated in a liposome, designed to target and knock down the expression of thymidylate synthase (TS). By inhibiting TS, an enzyme essential for DNA synthesis and repair, DFP-10825 aims to suppress tumor growth and overcome resistance to conventional fluoropyrimidine-based therapies. The drug is administered via intraperitoneal injection to directly target metastatic lesions within the abdominal cavity and is often evaluated in combination with taxanes.
