Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DHP-300 (also known as AT02) is a fixed-dose combination ophthalmic solution developed by Dhp Korea Co., Ltd. for the treatment of dry eye syndrome. It consists of sodium hyaluronate (0.3%) and carboxymethylcellulose sodium (0.5%). Sodium hyaluronate is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan that provides lubrication and promotes corneal epithelial repair by binding to the CD44 receptor. Carboxymethylcellulose sodium is a mucoadhesive polymer that increases the viscosity of the tear film and prolongs its retention on the ocular surface. Together, these components work synergistically to stabilize the tear film, reduce ocular surface friction, and alleviate symptoms of dryness and irritation. The formulation was evaluated in a Phase II clinical trial (NCT02643303) alongside other concentrations (DHP-101 and DHP-500) to determine optimal efficacy and safety in patients with dry eye syndrome.
