Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lukin NXT is a marketed fixed-dose combination capsule containing diacerein (50 mg) and Curcuma longa (turmeric) extract (50 mg), developed by Goldline Pharmaceutical. It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, particularly of the knee and hip. Diacerein is a symptomatic slow-acting drug in osteoarthritis (SYSADOA) that inhibits the synthesis and activity of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), a key pro-inflammatory cytokine involved in cartilage destruction. Curcuma longa (curcumin) provides complementary anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects by inhibiting the NF-κB and COX-2 pathways. Together, these components work synergistically to reduce joint pain, swelling, and stiffness while improving joint mobility and slowing cartilage breakdown.
