Its mechanism of action involves modulating these receptors to reduce nicotine dependence and assist in smoking cessation. Dianicline was designed to mimic some effects of nicotine while reducing withdrawal symptoms and cravings, with the aim of supporting individuals attempting to quit smoking. It is structurally and pharmacologically similar to varenicline but may have an improved side effect profile.
