Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DCCR is a novel, proprietary extended-release dosage form containing diazoxide choline, the crystalline salt of diazoxide. It is an ATP-dependent potassium channel agonist administered once daily. Developed by Soleno Therapeutics, it is the first FDA-approved treatment for hyperphagia in individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) aged 4 years and older. In clinical trials, DCCR demonstrated significant reductions in hyperphagia, aggressive behaviors, anxiety, and compulsivity, while improving body composition and metabolic parameters.
