Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of dibromodulcitol, mitomycin C, and vinblastine. Dibromodulcitol is an alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and transcription. Mitomycin C is an antitumor antibiotic that acts as a bioreductive alkylating agent, cross-linking DNA and inhibiting DNA synthesis. Vinblastine is a vinca alkaloid that inhibits microtubule formation in the mitotic spindle, arresting cell division at metaphase. The DMV regimen has been studied primarily for advanced breast cancer, showing moderate efficacy with manageable toxicity profiles[1][5].
