Dicel DM

Dicel DM is an over-the-counter combination medication containing chlorpheniramine maleate, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. It is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with the common cold, allergic rhinitis, and other upper respiratory infections, including nasal congestion, cough, and allergy symptoms like sneezing and itchy/watery eyes. Chlorpheniramine acts as an H1-receptor antagonist to reduce allergic responses. Dextromethorphan is an antitussive that acts on the cough center in the medulla to elevate the cough threshold. Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic amine that acts as a nasal decongestant by vasoconstricting respiratory tract mucous membranes.
