Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diclofenac + paracetamol + serratiopeptidase is a fixed-dose combination oral tablet developed for the management of pain, inflammation, and edema associated with various musculoskeletal and post-operative conditions. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, primarily modulating pain and temperature-regulating centers in the central nervous system. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that aids in the resolution of inflammation by breaking down abnormal proteins and inflammatory exudates, such as fibrin and bradykinin, at the site of injury. This triple combination is used to treat joint pain, muscle pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, and post-operative inflammation.
