Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Spade-D is a combination oral tablet containing diclofenac potassium (50 mg), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and serratiopeptidase (10 mg), a proteolytic enzyme. Developed by Med Manor Organics, it is used to manage pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with musculoskeletal disorders, joint conditions (such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis), and post-operative recovery. Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins. Serratiopeptidase acts synergistically by breaking down abnormal proteins, fibrin, and inflammatory debris at the site of injury, which reduces localized edema, improves microcirculation, and facilitates tissue repair.
