Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diclofenac + travoprost is a combination drug consisting of diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and travoprost, a prostaglandin F2α analog. Diclofenac acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in inflammation and pain. Travoprost lowers intraocular pressure by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor through the trabecular meshwork and uveoscleral pathway; it is primarily used for glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The combination may be considered for ophthalmic use to manage both inflammation (e.g., post-surgical) and elevated intraocular pressure.
