Overview

Diclofox-P is a fixed-dose combination analgesic and antipyretic medication developed by Aarise Pharmaceuticals. It contains diclofenac potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and paracetamol (acetaminophen). Diclofenac potassium provides rapid-onset relief by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain and inflammation. Paracetamol acts primarily within the central nervous system to elevate the pain threshold and reduce fever, potentially through the inhibition of a central COX variant (often referred to as COX-3). This combination is typically indicated for the management of acute pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, post-operative recovery, and various arthritic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
