Overview
Voldo-SP is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing diclofenac potassium, paracetamol, and serratiopeptidase. Developed and marketed by Varmed Pharma in India, it is used for the relief of moderate pain, fever, and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, joint pain, muscle aches, back pain, menstrual cramps, and toothaches. Diclofenac potassium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, primarily through central nervous system pathways. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that helps reduce swelling and edema by breaking down abnormal proteins and fibrin at the site of injury, facilitating tissue repair.
