Bigflam is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing diclofenac potassium (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug), paracetamol (an analgesic and antipyretic), and serratiopeptidase (a proteolytic enzyme). It is primarily used for the short-term relief of moderate to severe pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with musculoskeletal disorders, joint pain, arthritis (such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis), dental pain, and post-operative recovery. Diclofenac potassium and paracetamol work synergistically to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain and fever, while serratiopeptidase breaks down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation to reduce swelling and promote tissue healing.
