Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diclovit (Дикловит) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing the active ingredient diclofenac sodium. Developed and marketed by OTCPharm (specifically through Nizhpharm), it is primarily used for the symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation. The drug functions by non-selectively inhibiting the enzymes cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which are essential for the production of prostaglandins, the mediators of pain and inflammatory responses. Diclovit is available in several formulations, most notably as 50 mg rectal suppositories and a 1% topical gel. It is indicated for a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders (such as joint and spine pain), post-traumatic and post-operative pain, and gynecological conditions like adnexitis and primary dysmenorrhea. Some specific formulations may also incorporate B vitamins (thiamine and pyridoxine) to provide neurotropic support.
