Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Didroxyprogesterone is a synthetic progestogen, described as being the closest to natural progesterone. It is being investigated for its role in promoting natural pregnancy in infertile patients with endometriosis, where it is believed to inhibit endometriosis recurrence without affecting ovulation or harming embryos. It has also been studied for its potential to reduce pregnancy loss in threatened abortion and to prevent recurrence of endometrial polyps after IVF-ET failure. Additionally, it is a component of combination therapies, such as Fenmotong, used in the treatment of decreased ovarian reserve function.
