Die-Da Sun-Shang ointment (also known as Dieda Sunshang ointment or Traumatic Injury Ointment) is a topical traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed for the treatment of acute ankle sprains. It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis. The ointment is designed to promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, reduce swelling, and alleviate pain. It has been evaluated in a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial in China, led by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Capital Medical University in collaboration with Yiwu Zhenwei Chinese Herbal Medicine Technology Development.
