Dietressa is a novel anti-obesity drug containing ultra-low doses of affinity-purified antibodies to cannabinoid receptor type 1 (CB1 receptor). It is designed for the treatment of overweight and grade I-II obesity, typically as an adjunct to a moderately low-calorie diet. The proposed mechanism involves modulation of the endocannabinoid system via CB1 receptor targeting, which may reduce appetite and food intake without significant central nervous system side effects or abuse potential. Preclinical studies in mice demonstrated that Dietressa reduced body weight gain comparably to sibutramine and did not show withdrawal symptoms or abuse liability. Clinical studies report good tolerability with no significant adverse effects on the gastrointestinal or cardiovascular systems during prolonged use[1][2][3]. The active ingredient is present in ultra-low doses, and excipients include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.
