Differentiated placental mesenchymal stem cells are an experimental cell therapy being developed by Kasr El Aini Hospital for the treatment of infertility and recurrent implantation failure (RIF). The therapy involves isolating mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from placental tissue and differentiating them into endometrium-like cells using a specialized culture medium containing endometrium-conditioned medium and follicular fluid. These differentiated cells are then deposited into the uterine cavity via an intrauterine insemination (IUI) catheter. The primary objective is to promote endometrial regeneration and improve endometrial receptivity in patients with unresponsive endometrium, endometrial atrophy, or advanced maternal age undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
