diflorasone diacetate

Diflorasone diacetate is a synthetic high-potency topical corticosteroid used for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as psoriasis and eczema. It acts primarily by inducing phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins (lipocortins), which control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation like prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of arachidonic acid from membrane phospholipids.
