Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DigesGas Plus is a combination pharmaceutical product developed by James Brown Pharma, primarily indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders including flatulence, meteorism, dyspepsia, and irritable colon. It is formulated as soft capsules containing a combination of simethicone and metoclopramide. Simethicone acts as an antiflatulent by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles in the digestive tract, facilitating their coalescence and expulsion. Metoclopramide serves as a prokinetic agent that enhances gastrointestinal motility and provides antiemetic effects. The product is also used as an adjuvant in the management of acute and chronic gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux esophagitis, peptic ulcers, hiatal hernia, and chronic cholecystitis.
