Dill

Dill (Anethum graveolens) is a plant widely used as a culinary herb and spice. Medicinally and as a supplement ingredient it has been traditionally used for digestive problems (such as loss of appetite and flatulence), liver issues,gallbladder complaints,and urinary tract disorders. Other traditional uses include treatment of fever,coughs,infections,and sleep disorders. The seeds contain essential oils rich in carvone and limonene along with phenolics like trans-anethole and flavonoids. Some chemicals in dill may relax muscles or have mild antibacterial effects; others may increase urine production. There is limited scientific evidence supporting these medicinal uses[1][2][3]. In pharmaceutical contexts,dill extract is also used in allergenic testing[7].
