Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ding Jun Sheng is a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) consisting of viable *Lactobacillus crispatus* (strain DM89101) formulated as vaginal capsules. Developed and manufactured by Inner Mongolia Shuangqi Pharmaceutical, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and the restoration of healthy vaginal microecology. The drug works by colonizing the vaginal mucosa, where it produces lactic acid to maintain an acidic pH and secretes antimicrobial substances such as hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins, thereby inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria. In clinical research, Ding Jun Sheng is being evaluated for its ability to promote the clearance of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, particularly in postmenopausal women, by improving vaginal health and local immunity. It is often studied as a monotherapy or in combination with recombinant human interferon α2b (Xin Fu Ning).
