Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dingxiyatong capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Stomatology, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. It is utilized as an adjunctive oral therapy for patients with severe periodontitis (Stage III/IV, Grade C). The formulation is designed to be used in conjunction with nonsurgical periodontal treatments, such as scaling and root planing (SRP), to enhance clinical outcomes. Clinical evaluation focuses on its ability to reduce probing depth (PD), bleeding on probing (BOP), and tooth mobility, while also addressing tooth sensitivity and gingival inflammation. As a TCM product, its therapeutic rationale is based on clearing internal heat (specifically stomach fire) and cooling the blood to alleviate symptoms associated with periodontal disease.
