Overview

**DIOS-202** is a preclinical-stage multivalent single-chain antibody derived from camelid heavy chain-only antibodies, designed as a next-generation immunotherapy against SARS-CoV-2. It combines single-domain antibodies (nanobodies) that bind two distinct epitopes on the viral spike protein with high avidity, achieving up to 100-fold higher neutralizing potency compared to single-domain versions. This unique mechanism irreversibly inactivates SARS-CoV-2 virions, suppressing escape mutants and variants, making it suitable for both prophylactic use and treatment of COVID-19 to prevent severe disease. Developed through structural optimization and licensed exclusively by DiosCURE Therapeutics from the University of Bonn and partners, it offers advantages in tissue penetration, stability, scalability, and cost-efficiency over conventional antibodies.[1][2][6]
