Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, hepatitis B, inactivated poliovirus, Haemophilus influenzae type b, meningococcal C conjugate vaccine (DTPa-HBV-IPV/Hib-MenC-TT) is an investigational heptavalent combination vaccine developed by GSK Biologicals. It is designed as an extension of the licensed hexavalent vaccine Infanrix hexa, incorporating an additional meningococcal serogroup C component conjugated to tetanus toxoid (MenC-TT). The vaccine aims to provide comprehensive protection against seven major pediatric diseases—diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, Hib disease, and meningococcal C disease—within a single immunization series. It has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials to assess its safety and immunogenicity in infants.
