diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine (Changsheng Bio-technology)

This is a combined prophylactic vaccine developed by Changchun Changsheng Biological Life Science Institute to provide immunity against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. The vaccine utilizes an acellular pertussis component, which contains purified antigens rather than whole-cell bacteria, to reduce the incidence of adverse reactions. It was a key part of the Chinese National Immunization Program until 2018, when a major manufacturing scandal involving falsified data and substandard batches led to the revocation of the company's licenses and its subsequent bankruptcy. The vaccine is formulated with aluminum hydroxide as an adjuvant and is administered via intramuscular injection.
