Overview

DT-IPV is a combination vaccine developed by Bilthoven Biologicals for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, and poliomyelitis. It contains diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and inactivated poliovirus (IPV) types 1, 2, and 3. The vaccine works by inducing active immunity against the toxins produced by *Corynebacterium diphtheriae* and *Clostridium tetani*, as well as against the three types of poliovirus. It is typically used for booster vaccinations in children, adolescents, and adults who have previously received a primary series.
