A combination vaccine developed by CanSino Biologics Inc. for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis in infants and children. This specific formulation utilizes a three-component acellular pertussis (DTcP) technology, which includes purified pertussis toxoid (PT), filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA), and pertactin (PRN). Unlike older co-purified acellular vaccines, the three-component approach allows for precise control over the concentration of each antigen, potentially improving consistency and immunogenicity. The vaccine is currently in Phase III clinical trials as a standalone product and serves as a core component of CanSino's hexavalent DTcP-Hib-MCV4 vaccine candidate, which is in Phase I trials.
