Overview
Tripecia is an adsorbed combination vaccine containing diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and acellular pertussis components. Developed by Cansino (Beijing) Biotech, it is distinguished as a "component" pertussis vaccine (DTcP), where the pertussis antigens—specifically pertussis toxoid (PT) and filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA)—are purified individually before formulation. This contrasts with traditional "co-purified" acellular pertussis vaccines (DTaP), offering more precise control over antigen concentration and improved batch-to-batch consistency. The vaccine is approved in China for the active immunization of infants and children against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis.
