Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This co-purified diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis (DTaP) combined vaccine is a biologic product used for active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. It contains diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and acellular pertussis antigens, specifically pertussis toxoid (PT) and filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA). The vaccine is manufactured using a co-purification technique and is part of China's National Immunization Program (NIP). A Phase 4 randomized controlled trial (NCT05870631) conducted by the Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention evaluated its safety and immunogenicity as a fifth-dose booster in 6-year-old children, demonstrating high seroconversion rates for pertussis antibodies and a favorable safety profile compared to the DT vaccine.
