The diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis whole-cell and Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine (DTP/Hib-BM) is a combined, multi-antigen biological vaccine developed by Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz in collaboration with Instituto Butantan in Brazil. It is a tetravalent combination vaccine containing whole-cell pertussis (*Bordetella pertussis*), diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and *Haemophilus influenzae* type b (Hib) conjugate as its active components. The vaccine is indicated for the active immunization of infants against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and invasive diseases caused by *Haemophilus influenzae* type b (such as meningitis and pneumonia). It has been evaluated in clinical trials in Brazil, demonstrating non-inferior immunogenicity, safety, and lot-to-lot consistency compared to reference vaccines, and is also used as a component of pentavalent formulations that include a hepatitis B antigen.
