Overview

Squarekids is a quadrivalent combination vaccine (DPT-IPV) indicated for the active immunization of infants against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and poliomyelitis. Developed through a collaboration between GSK and Daiichi Sankyo, it is specifically manufactured and marketed in Japan. The vaccine formulation includes diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, acellular pertussis antigens (including pertussis toxoid and filamentous hemagglutinin), and inactivated poliovirus derived from Sabin strains (sIPV). By combining these four components into a single subcutaneous injection, Squarekids simplifies the pediatric vaccination schedule in Japan. It is often evaluated for co-administration with other infant vaccines, such as the rotavirus vaccine Rotarix, to ensure immunogenicity and safety are maintained during routine immunization.
