This vaccine is a combination immunization product containing **diphtheria toxoid**, **tetanus toxoid**, **acellular pertussis antigens**, and **inactivated poliovirus**. It is designed to induce active immunity against diphtheria, tetanus (lockjaw), pertussis (whooping cough), and poliomyelitis. All components are inactivated; the vaccine does not contain live organisms. Upon intramuscular administration, the vaccine stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies and cellular immune responses to the four agents, thereby protecting against infection and disease. This vaccine is primarily used for booster immunization in children aged 4–6 years and sometimes older children/adolescents as per local recommendations. It is not used for primary immunization in infants, for whom hexavalent or pentavalent combinations are typically used.
