Diphtheria toxoid + tetanus toxoid + acellular pertussis vaccine (adsorbed), developed by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products (a subsidiary of Sinopharm), is a trivalent combination vaccine used for the active immunization of infants and children against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough). The vaccine is formulated by adsorbing purified diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and acellular pertussis antigens (typically including pertussis toxoid and filamentous hemagglutinin) onto an aluminum-based adjuvant, such as aluminum hydroxide, to enhance the immune response. By introducing these antigens, the vaccine stimulates the host immune system to produce neutralizing antibodies and establish immunological memory against *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, *Clostridium tetani*, and *Bordetella pertussis*. This acellular formulation is designed to provide a safer profile with fewer injection-site reactions and systemic adverse events compared to traditional whole-cell pertussis vaccines.
