Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diprosis is a topical glucocorticoid steroid ointment containing betamethasone dipropionate. It is primarily used for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, including conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. Its mechanism of action involves binding to glucocorticoid receptors, which leads to the modulation of gene expression, suppression of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins, cytokines, and leukotrienes, and inhibition of immune cell activity. Additionally, it exhibits vasoconstrictive and antiproliferative properties, contributing to its efficacy in reducing inflammation, itching, and epidermal thickening.
