Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DiR-Metabolic is a preclinical-stage RNA therapeutic being developed by Aptadir Therapeutics for the treatment of undisclosed metabolic disorders. The drug utilizes a novel modality known as DNMT1-interacting RNA (DiR). The mechanism of action involves the DiR RNA molecule interacting with and inhibiting DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1). This interaction is designed to prevent aberrant DNA methylation in a locus-specific manner, thereby modulating gene expression associated with metabolic pathology.
