Overview

DITEVAKSAL-T is an adsorbed bivalent vaccine containing purified and concentrated diphtheria and tetanus toxoids. Developed and manufactured by the Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera Torlak in Belgrade, Serbia, it is specifically indicated for the active immunization (both primary and booster) of children aged 2 months to 7 years against diphtheria and tetanus. The vaccine works by stimulating the immune system to produce protective antitoxin antibodies against the toxins produced by *Corynebacterium diphtheriae* and *Clostridium tetani*. The toxoids are adsorbed onto an aluminum-based adjuvant to enhance the immune response. It is administered via intramuscular injection and requires cold chain storage at 2-8°C.
