Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DITEVAXAL-T for adults is an adsorbed bacterial vaccine containing diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, developed by the Torlak Institute in Serbia. It is specifically formulated for adult use to prevent tetanus and diphtheria. The vaccine works by inducing the production of protective antibodies (antitoxins) against the toxins produced by *Clostridium tetani* and *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*. The toxoids are adsorbed onto an aluminum-based adjuvant to enhance the immune response. This product is a standard component of immunization programs, typically used for booster doses in adults to maintain long-term immunity against these bacterial infections.
