Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diufluxx Mannose is an oral dietary supplement developed by Ruhrpharm, formulated as effervescent tablets to support bladder and urinary tract health. The product contains a combination of D-mannose, cranberry extract, and biotin (vitamin B7). D-mannose is a simple sugar that is excreted unchanged in the urine, where it helps prevent the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria (such as *Escherichia coli*) to the bladder mucosa. Cranberry extract contains proanthocyanidins that similarly inhibit bacterial adherence, while biotin supports the maintenance of healthy mucous membranes, including the bladder mucosa, to defend against pathogens. Diufluxx Mannose is marketed for the prevention of urinary tract infections and the maintenance of normal bladder function.
