Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diziquit-MD is a branded generic fixed-dose combination of cinnarizine (20 mg) and dimenhydrinate (40 mg) marketed by Vanprom Lifesciences. It is formulated as a mouth-dissolving (orally disintegrating) tablet primarily indicated for the symptomatic treatment of vertigo of various origins, motion sickness, and inner ear balance disorders such as Meniere's disease. Cinnarizine acts as a calcium channel blocker and antihistamine, improving microcirculation in the inner ear and reducing vestibular over-excitation. Dimenhydrinate, a combination of diphenhydramine and 8-chlorotheophylline, acts as an H1 antihistamine and anticholinergic agent, suppressing vestibular system activity and targeting the brain's vomiting center to control nausea and dizziness.
