Overview

DJI136 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Novartis for the treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The therapy targets Delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3), a protein that is highly expressed on the surface of SCLC cells and other neuroendocrine tumors but has minimal expression in normal tissues. DJI136 involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes DLL3, enabling the immune system to identify and eliminate malignant cells. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase I/II clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in adult patients with ES-SCLC.
