DK001 is a code name associated with two distinct investigational therapeutic candidates. The first is an allogeneic human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell (haMSC) therapy developed by Jiangsu Dekang Biotechnology. This cell therapy is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of complex perianal fistulas in patients with Crohn's disease, leveraging the immunomodulatory and regenerative properties of mesenchymal stem cells to promote tissue healing and closure of fistulous tracts. The second candidate is a radioimmunotherapy developed by the 307th Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. This version of DK001 consists of a monoclonal antibody targeting carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) labeled with the radioisotope iodine-131 (I-131). It is designed to deliver targeted radiation directly to CEA-expressing solid tumors, thereby minimizing systemic toxicity while maximizing the therapeutic effect on malignant cells.
