Overview

DK1210 is an investigational engineered cytokine fusion protein developed by DEKA Biosciences for the treatment of various solid cancers. As part of DEKA's proprietary Diakine platform, the drug is designed as a tri-specific biologic consisting of immune-modulating cytokines fused to an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-directed single-chain variable fragment (scFv). The Diakine architecture is engineered to target cytokine delivery specifically to the tumor microenvironment by binding to EGFR on tumor cells, thereby localizing the immune response and minimizing systemic toxicity. This approach aims to provide a superior therapeutic index compared to traditional systemic cytokine therapies by balancing inflammatory and anti-inflammatory signals to activate both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immunity.
