Overview

DK1510 is an investigational engineered cytokine fusion protein developed by DEKA Biosciences using its proprietary Diakine™ platform. It is designed to treat various solid cancers by targeting the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR). The molecule is a fusion protein that combines two cytokines—Interleukin-15 (IL-15) and Interleukin-10 (IL-10)—with a targeting moiety specific to EGFR. This dual-cytokine approach is intended to leverage the potent immune-stimulating properties of IL-15, which promotes the proliferation and activation of T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells, while utilizing IL-10 to potentially modulate the immune response and improve the safety profile. By targeting EGFR, DK1510 localizes these cytokines to the tumor microenvironment, aiming to enhance anti-tumor efficacy while reducing the systemic toxicities typically associated with cytokine therapies.
