DLBS1425

DLBS1425 is a standardized bioactive fraction derived from the fruit of *Phaleria macrocarpa* (Scheff.) Boerl., commonly known as Mahkota Dewa. Developed by Dexa Laboratories of Biomolecular Sciences (DLBS), a division of Dexa Medica, it is investigated as an adjuvant or monotherapy for breast cancer. The extract exhibits anti-proliferative, anti-angiogenic, and pro-apoptotic activities. Mechanistically, DLBS1425 has been shown to inhibit the PI3K/Akt and MAPK/ERK signaling pathways, downregulate the expression of genes involved in cell survival (such as Bcl-2), and induce apoptosis through the activation of caspases. It also demonstrates anti-estrogenic effects by modulating estrogen receptor signaling, making it particularly relevant for hormone-dependent breast cancers.
