DLBS2411 is a bioactive fraction derived from the Indonesian native herbal *Cinnamomum burmannii* (kayumanis/cinnamon). It is a small molecule drug containing not less than 15% total phenolic compounds. DLBS2411 has demonstrated anti-ulcer and gastroprotective properties in preclinical and clinical studies, primarily through two mechanisms: suppression of gastric acidity by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in parietal cells, and enhancement of gastric mucosal protection via upregulation of COX-2-derived prostaglandin E2 synthesis, stimulation of mucous and bicarbonate secretion, antioxidant activity, and increased endothelial nitric oxide formation. The compound acts as a competitive inhibitor of the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme at both gene expression and enzymatic activity levels. Clinical trials have reached Phase 3 for indications such as dyspepsia, peptic ulcer hemorrhage, ulcer healing, and gastroesophageal reflux[1][4][6][7].
