Overview

DLL1 blocking antibody is a monoclonal antibody designed to inhibit Delta-like ligand 1 (DLL1), a key component of the Notch signaling pathway. In the context of vascular disease, DLL1 is expressed in atherosclerotic plaques and promotes macrophage activation toward a pro-inflammatory phenotype. By blocking DLL1, these antibodies can reduce the expression of inflammatory markers like iNOS and IL-1β while promoting anti-inflammatory markers like arginase-1. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that DLL1 blockade can attenuate intimal hyperplasia, perivascular fibrosis, and atherosclerotic plaque formation, suggesting potential therapeutic applications in arteriosclerosis and other macrophage-mediated inflammatory vascular diseases.
