Overview

DLL3-SAVVYZ-IL18 CAR T cell is an autologous, armored chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. It is engineered to target Delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3), a protein that is highly expressed on the surface of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other neuroendocrine tumors but has minimal expression in normal tissues. The therapy is "armored" with Interleukin-18 (IL-18), a proinflammatory cytokine intended to enhance T-cell expansion, persistence, and the recruitment of endogenous immune cells within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The "SAVVYZ" component refers to the specific binder or CAR construct utilized in this program. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 1 ARMADA trial for patients with relapsed or refractory metastatic DLL3-positive cancers.
