Overview

**DLL4 siRNA** is a small interfering RNA molecule designed to specifically silence the expression of the delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4) gene, a critical ligand in the Notch signaling pathway. By targeting DLL4 mRNA, DLL4 siRNA leads to reduced DLL4 protein levels, thereby modulating processes regulated by DLL4/Notch signaling such as angiogenesis, cell migration, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and immune cell differentiation. DLL4 siRNA is often used as a research tool in preclinical models to study DLL4’s roles in tumor progression, wound healing, and diseases such as cancer and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Knockdown of DLL4 expression via siRNA has been shown to inhibit cancer cell migration, invasion, proliferation, promote apoptosis, inhibit EMT, impair DNA damage repair, and promote radiosensitivity in cancer cells. In the immune system, DLL4 siRNA enhances M2 macrophage polarization through modulation of Notch signaling. Currently, DLL4 siRNA is not an approved pharmaceutical product and is primarily utilized in laboratory and preclinical studies[1][2][3].
